With the start of installation of in total 64 wind turbines, 8.2 Consulting AG's inspection activities are entering the critical phase

The first wind turbine at the "EnBW He Dreiht" wind farm is installed! April 24, 2025 marks the "beginning of the end" of the global production work for Germany's largest offshore wind farm currently under construction some 110 kilometres west of Heligoland in the North Sea.

A milestone in the technological progress of the offshore industry has been reached with the V236-15.0 MW wind turbine, which is Vestas’ largest turbine available on the market with a rated power of 15 MW.

8.2 Renewable Energy Experts Hamburg GmbH (8.2 REEH) has recently finalized the second project stage in supporting an innovative floating solar project ("Floating PV") in Uganda. Based on the results of the site inspections, the pre-feasibility of possible floating PV systems has been assessed.

After the announcement of the insolvency application of Green City AG in Munich, Qair Group, a European independent producer of renewable energies, positioned itself to take over assets from the insolvency estate.

Since its foundation as union of all 8.2 companies, the 8.2 Group e.V. was directed by Jürgen Holzmüller as sole member of the Board of Association.

In 2003, Dietmar Obst started his work in the 8.2 Group. Three years later, the engineering company was further developed into 8.2 Ingenieurpartnerschaft Obst & Ziehmann.

8.2 Consulting AG assigned for commissioning and completion quality surveillance of the world's largest offshore wind farm on behalf of Vattenfall.

The 8.2 Group is growing in the northern most top of Europe with the new company: 8.2 Jemtergi AB.

8.2 Consulting AG has appointed a new CEO: Heiko Wuttke, an internationally experienced expert in the wind energy sector and most recently a member of the Executive Board of Prokon Regenerative Energien, will take up his position with the renowned renewable energy experts on March 1, 2022.

Preparations for the “Hollandse Kust Zuid” offshore wind farm are getting serious.

After 8.2 Consulting AG has carried out the production supervision of the pre-series of 5 SG 11.0-200 DD in Brande (DK), the framework contract for the serial production of the re-maining 135 wind turbines at the production site in Cuxhaven is now starting.

Now the company foundation is finished: the 8.2 Group is growing strategically in the south of the republic with the new company 8.2 Ingenieure BW. The subsidiary of Aero Dynamik Consult Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH has been a close partner of the 8.2 Group for many years especially in the field of analytical evaluations for continued operation reports. The engineers along with the managing directors Dr.-Ing. Swen Streiner and Dipl.-Ing. Jan Lehmann will from now on operate as an independent 8.2 company.

Launched in January 2020, WindEXT is an ambitious European funded project. The goal of the project is to develop specialized training that will allow reducing the LCOE by reducing the OPEX, increase the quality of O&M services while extending the lifetime of the assets and the working conditions of the maintenance personnel. The duration of the project will be three years, so it will end up in December 2022.
